Rajpal Yadav has responded after students from Gurukul Seva Trust in Shahjahanpur voiced disappointment over not hearing back from him despite sending their savings during his legal troubles.
On February 21, over 40 children reportedly collected money from their personal allowances, filled a piggy bank, and mailed it to the actor’s ancestral village address in Kundra. The gesture was meant to show solidarity after Yadav was arrested in connection with a cheque-bounce case.
However, the students later expressed sadness that the actor had not acknowledged their effort or arranged to meet them.

Speaking to PTI over the phone, Rajpal Yadav addressed the situation and said he had not yet had the opportunity to properly reconnect with family and supporters after his release.

He added that he was still in the process of gathering information about those who supported him during the difficult period. Addressing reports that the children were from an orphanage, Yadav stated that if children are living in an ashram environment, he does not consider them orphans.
Students’ Emotional Message
In a short video message circulating online, the children congratulated the actor on his release and asked whether he had received their contribution.
“Namaste Rajpal bhaiya… We all want to meet you and know whether you received the help we sent. If you did, why did you not respond to our letter? We are upset with you,” they said, adding that even a brief reassurance would have meant a lot to them.
School officials clarified that the donation was voluntary and stemmed purely from admiration for the Shahjahanpur-born actor, widely known for his comic performances in films like Chup Chup Ke, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Bhoothnath.
