Deepika Singh and Rohit Raj Goyal have opened up about dealing with social media trolling, offering a candid perspective on how their family background has shaped their response to online criticism. The couple, who are participating in Dhamaal With Pati Patni Aur Panga, also known as Pati Patni Aur Panga 2, compared trolls to their cousins during an exclusive interview with Zoom/Telly Talk India.
The Colors TV reality show premiered on October 10, 2026, and features seven married couples competing in a series of challenges. Hosted by Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui, the show brings together television personalities and their partners.
Rohit Raj Goyal Says Deepika Singh Responds to Trolls
During the interview, Rohit Raj Goyal, a television director and Deepika Singh’s husband, said he was prepared for online trolling but did not let it worry him. According to Rohit, Deepika is more likely to respond directly when social media users cross a line.
“I am ready for trolling. But I have no tension. She directly engages in a fight with trolls. She will answer herself. She also answers on behalf of me. I am not at all worried about it,” Rohit said.
His comments suggest that the couple has different approaches to online criticism, with Deepika more willing to confront negative comments while Rohit remains relatively unconcerned.
Deepika Singh Explains Why Trolls Are Like ‘Cousins’
Deepika Singh, known for her performances in Diya Aur Baati Hum and Mangal Lakshmi, explained that growing up in a joint family helped her develop a more accepting attitude towards different opinions.
According to the actress, their parents played an indirect role in shaping how the couple deals with criticism. Living in a joint family, she explained, means learning to coexist with people who have different perspectives and ways of thinking.
“Actually, our parents played a big role in this. We belong to a joint family. When a person belongs to a joint family, there are all kinds of differences between the people who run the family. Each one also has a different thought process. So, we somewhere accept all the thought processes,” Deepika said.
She then explained why she sees trolls in a similar light.
“We accept all the mindsets. Trolls are like our cousins. We are okay with it. We will try to do something better. We have been living with trolls since the beginning. If I have a time, I reply. It all depends on the time. I give it back if something goes too far, I say it. Right now, we are busy. So, we don’t care,” she added.
Deepika’s remarks indicate that she does not respond to every negative comment. Instead, she chooses when to engage, particularly when she feels a comment has crossed a line.
The actress frequently shares dance videos on Instagram, where her posts receive a mix of positive and critical reactions. Her comments in the interview offer insight into how she approaches that online attention.
