Actor Janhvi Kapoor has spoken about the online criticism and trolling faced by her half-brother, Arjun Kapoor, stating that there is no justification for bullying or harassment on social media.
In a recent conversation with Grazia, Janhvi reflected on how internet culture often targets public figures for attention and engagement. She said that the opinions circulating online do not affect her as much as they once did.

“From what I understand about social media culture, everyone wants prominence, views and virality. If they are making content about you, you’re just a scapegoat. They use your name for clickbait or rage bait to push engagement,” she said.
Janhvi added that recognising this perspective helps her avoid taking such comments personally.
‘Negativity fuels negativity’
The actor also addressed the harsh criticism directed at Arjun Kapoor online.
She acknowledged that while many people are simply trying to gain attention or sustain their livelihoods, targeted harassment still crosses a line.
“Of course it hurts to feel misunderstood, especially when it turns into bullying and harassment like I’ve seen happen with my brother sometimes. There’s no excuse for that kind of behaviour,” she said.
Janhvi further noted that negativity tends to amplify itself on social media, adding that stepping away from such spaces can be the healthiest approach.

She will next appear in the Telugu film Peddi alongside Ram Charan. The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas.
The cast also includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma and Boman Irani.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on April 30.
