Nora Fatehi Reveals She Wasn’t Paid for Multiple Songs, Agreed to Bigg Boss on One Condition

Nora Fatehi has opened up about a difficult phase in her early career, revealing that she had not received payment for several songs she had performed in before being approached for Bigg Boss. The actress and dancer recalled how the financial dispute influenced her decision to participate in the reality show.

Speaking about the experience, Nora said she had done “a bunch of songs” but was still waiting to receive her money. According to her, while the producers had apparently paid the agency, the payment had not reached her, leaving her frustrated and forced to fight for what she was owed.

Nora Fatehi Says Unpaid Dues Led to Bigg Boss Offer

Recalling the situation, Nora said the producers eventually approached her with an offer to participate in Bigg Boss. Her initial reaction was to turn it down.

“I did a bunch of songs, and they weren’t giving my money. The producers must have paid the agency but… I got to wait for them to pay me. They were not paying me, and I was fighting, and it was just crazy,” Nora said.

She recalled that the conversation changed when the makers told her how much she would be paid for appearing on the reality show.

“They call me and ask, ‘Do you want to do Bigg Boss?’ I am like no I don’t want to do and you all do not understand my vision, and bla bla… and then they said that I was getting paid this much money. Then I am like (pauses) okay!”

For Nora, however, the decision was not simply about accepting a reality-show appearance. She saw an opportunity to use the platform strategically.

Nora Agreed to Bigg Boss on One Condition

Nora explained that she understood the potential reach of Bigg Boss, particularly for an emerging performer trying to establish herself in India.

“It is not a bad thing; it is a platform, and it immediately makes you a household name if you are smart,” she said.

Since she was entering the show as a wildcard contestant, Nora did not expect to remain in the house for an extended period. Instead, she began thinking about how the opportunity could help her career in another way.

“I was also a wildcard entry, so I was not going to stay there for long, and maybe I can exchange it for something else,” she recalled.

Nora said she specifically wanted to participate in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, which aired on the same channel. She therefore proposed a deal: she would participate in Bigg Boss if she could subsequently get the opportunity to appear on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

“I really wanted to do Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, and it was the same channel. So I told them to give me Jhalak, and in return, I would do Bigg Boss. I got Jhalak in exchange,” Nora said.

Nora Fatehi and Prince Narula’s Bigg Boss Connection

During her time inside the Bigg Boss house, Nora developed a close bond with Prince Narula. Their interactions became a talking point during the season, with the two frequently seen flirting and spending time together.

Prince even expressed his happiness about Nora’s presence on the show and told her that he was thankful to Bigg Boss for bringing her into the house.

At one point, he also offered Nora flowers and a ring, further adding to the attention surrounding their equation.

Prince ultimately went on to win that season of Bigg Boss.

Nora Fatehi’s Career Has Expanded Globally

Nora Fatehi has since moved well beyond reality television and Bollywood dance numbers, building an increasingly international profile.

In June 2026, she performed at the FIFA World Cup opening, adding a major global appearance to her career. She was also featured on Siir Siir, the official FIFA 2026 song, alongside Sanjoy and Vegedream.

The performer has continued to work on her own music as well. In August, Nora announced Slay to the Rhythm, a new track from her upcoming EP Play, describing the project as a very personal one. She previously released Sajan Re with Badshah.

Nora is also reportedly set to feature in a special dance number in Jailer 2, the Rajinikanth-starrer featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander.
