Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 6: Suriya’s Film Crosses ₹100 Crore Milestone

Suriya and Trisha Krishnan’s latest action drama Karuppu continues its impressive theatrical run, officially entering the ₹100 crore club within six days of release.

Directed by RJ Balaji, the Tamil action entertainer has maintained strong momentum across cinemas despite a slight dip in weekday collections. The film has also generated massive fan celebrations online, with videos from theatres showing cheering audiences and packed screenings going viral on social media.

According to trade estimates from Sacnilk, Karuppu earned approximately ₹10.30 crore on day six. Although the figure is slightly lower than its Tuesday earnings of ₹12.75 crore, the movie has continued performing steadily during the weekdays.

The film opened strongly with ₹15.50 crore on its first day and witnessed significant growth over the weekend. Day two collections reportedly reached ₹24.15 crore, while Sunday emerged as the film’s highest-earning day with around ₹28.35 crore.

Following a normal Monday drop to ₹14.30 crore, the action drama still managed to push past the ₹100 crore net mark in India. Reports suggest that the film’s India net collection now stands at approximately ₹105.35 crore, while the India gross total has reached nearly ₹119.64 crore.

With these numbers, Karuppu has already outperformed several of Suriya’s recent releases within its first week. The movie has reportedly crossed the lifetime domestic collections of Etharkkum Thunindhavan, Kanguva, and Retro.

The film is currently witnessing especially strong performance in Tamil-speaking regions, while the Telugu dubbed version has shown comparatively moderate numbers.

Interestingly, Karuppu faced unexpected delays before release. The film was initially scheduled to hit theatres on May 14, but several morning shows were cancelled following reported financial disagreements between producers and distributors. The issue was later resolved, and the film officially released the following day.

After the successful launch, director RJ Balaji thanked audiences for the overwhelming response and described the emotional support from viewers as deeply moving.

Karuppu is a rural action thriller revolving around justice, corruption, survival, and resistance against oppressive power structures. Alongside Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, the film features performances by Yogi Babu, Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, Supreeth Reddy, Anagha Maya Ravi, and RJ Balaji himself.
