Gurugram-based professional Himanshu Jangra, who recently found himself at the centre of a social media storm following his appearance on comedian Pranit More’s stand-up show, has said he now regrets participating in the event. The controversy erupted after a clip from the performance went viral, leading to severe online backlash and his subsequent dismissal from his job at a Gurugram-based design firm.

Jangra Breaks Silence on Fallout

In a video shared by his former employer, Starvik Design, founder Vivek Vishwakarma is seen speaking to Jangra after the incident. During the interaction, Jangra opened up about the emotional and professional impact of the controversy.

He said the situation escalated only after his family learned about the viral clip and his job termination. According to him, the first few days passed without major concern, but things changed once the issue became widely known.

Jangra admitted that his parents were deeply affected after hearing about the loss of his job, leading to tension at home and regret over his participation in the show.

He said the intention was to match the tone of the performance rather than present a literal account of events.

The controversy stems from a segment in which Jangra referenced a date and mentioned spending ₹370 on a chicken biryani, making remarks that were widely criticised online for being entitled and inappropriate.

The clip quickly circulated on social media, drawing sharp reactions from users and public figures, including Uorfi Javed, Kusha Kapila, and Dolly Singh, who condemned the tone of the comments.
