The actress is currently featured in Karthika Deepam, a recreated song for the upcoming Telugu film Bharata Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, starring Ravi Teja.

Speaking about Karthika Deepam, a reimagined version of Sridevi’s legendary Aaraneekuma Ee Deepam, Edin described the experience as one filled with gratitude and responsibility.

To even be considered for a song connected to Srideviji felt like a blessing,” she shared. “There was definitely a sense of responsibility, but it came from a place of respect and care. This wasn’t just another song—it carries history, emotion, and legacy.”

While preparing for the performance, Edin revisited the original song with a clear purpose. “I watched the original not to imitate it, but to understand its soul. Srideviji’s grace and emotional depth make the song timeless,” she said.

She also credited the creative team for encouraging authenticity. “The makers asked me to stay true to myself while respecting the essence of the original. That balance helped me perform honestly, without comparison.”

Edin ultimately views Karthika Deepam as a heartfelt tribute. “Some performances are so iconic that they can never be recreated, only honoured. If this version helps younger audiences discover Sridevi’s magic, then I feel the purpose is fulfilled.”
