Alia Bhatt is gearing up for another high-profile project amid her busy 2026 schedule. Following her roles in Yash Raj Films’ Alpha and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, the 32-year-old actress is reportedly set to collaborate with director Abhishek Pathak on Housewife.
This project is said to be a sophisticated relationship drama, exploring the dynamics of contemporary married life. Rajkummar Rao is in talks to play the male lead, which would mark his first on-screen pairing with Alia.

According to reports from Variety India (February 2026), Housewife will see Alia in the titular role, focusing on the challenges and evolving nuances of a modern marriage. The film will also have Alia co-producing through her company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, alongside Pathak’s Panorama Studios.
Filming is expected to commence after Pathak wraps up Drishyam 3, likely around August–September 2026.
