Actor Chitrangda Singh has long been admired for her effortless glow and calm presence — and now, the secret lies in her mornings. The 50-year-old actor recently opened up about her nutritious and gut-friendly morning routine, revealing a carefully curated tray of drinks and fruits that set the tone for sustained energy and healthy skin.
Speaking on the Let’s Talk With Namitaa podcast, the Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders actor shared that her day begins with hydration and natural antioxidants rather than caffeine or heavy foods.
“I drink lukewarm water — a big mug of garam paani,” Chitrangda said. “I soak cumin and carom seeds, boil them, and have that with lemon. Then I eat soaked almonds. After that, I have one kiwi and a small bowl of papaya. This is my tray in the morning.”
A Gentle, Gut-Friendly Start to the Day
Taking cues from Chitrangda’s routine, consultant dietitian Garima Goyal explained that her morning ritual reflects a balanced and sustainable approach to wellness.

Why Jeera-Ajwain Water with Lemon Works
Chitrangda’s inclusion of cumin (jeera) and carom seeds (ajwain) adds a functional layer to her routine. According to Goyal, these ingredients play a key role in digestive health.
“Cumin and ajwain stimulate digestive enzymes, reduce gas, and ease gut discomfort. Adding lemon provides a mild vitamin C boost and enhances hydration. This combination activates digestion gently, without being harsh on the stomach, making it suitable for daily use,” she explained.
Fruits for Fibre, Enzymes, and Glow
Ending her morning intake with fruits such as kiwi and papaya further supports gut health and nutrient absorption.
“Papaya contains papain, an enzyme that aids protein digestion and improves gut function, while kiwi is rich in vitamin C and supports bowel regularity,” said Goyal. “Consuming fruits after hydration and digestive drinks allows for better absorption and reduces the chances of acidity or heaviness.”
