Ajay Devgn has shared his thoughts on Drishyam: The Conclusion, describing the third and final chapter of the suspense thriller franchise as “fabulous.”
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film brings Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar and introduces a new challenge for the character with Jaideep Ahlawat playing SP Crime Branch officer Rajveer Singh Tomar.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 2.
Ajay Devgn on Drishyam: The Conclusion
Speaking at Ficci Frames, Ajay Devgn discussed how the third instalment differs from the previous films in the franchise.
“The original one did not have Akshay Khanna’s character as such but Drishyam 3 is a completely new script. They are two very different films,” Ajay said.
He also praised the work that went into developing the screenplay, pointing to the effort made by Abhishek Pathak and the writers over an extended period.
“The way Abhishek and the writers have worked so hard on the script for the past maybe two years that it really really gives you a high. The way it has shaped up the scripting and the way Abhishek has made the film, I think it has come out fabulous. That’s when we decided that it should be the conclusion,” he added.

From Drishyam to Drishyam 2
The Hindi Drishyam franchise began with the 2015 film starring Ajay Devgn, which was adapted from the Malayalam hit featuring Mohanlal.
The story follows Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator in Goa who takes extraordinary steps to protect his family following an accident involving his elder daughter Anju and Sam, the son of police officer Meera Deshmukh.
The story continued with Drishyam 2 in 2022. In that film, the case is reopened seven years later after the police discover a new witness.
With Drishyam: The Conclusion, the story moves into its third chapter, with Vijay once again facing pressure from the authorities.
Drishyam: The Conclusion Release Date
