Krystle D’Souza and Rida Tharana Win The Traitors Season 2, Take Home Rs 66 Lakh Prize

Karan Johar-hosted The Traitors Season 2 ended on a dramatic note, with Krystle D’Souza and Rida Tharana emerging as the winners of the reality show.

The much-awaited finale premiered on Thursday, September 3, bringing the psychological game to an intense conclusion. Both winners were ultimately revealed to be Traitors. While Krystle had been secretly assigned the Traitor role from the very beginning, Rida started the game as an Innocent before switching sides later in the competition.

The duo defeated the remaining finalists, including Mallika Sherawat, Shalini Passi, Sahil Salathia and Dalip Tahil, to claim the title.

The finale began with Mallika Sherawat being murdered by the Traitors, ending her hopes of making it to the final.

As the remaining contestants tried to identify who was behind the elimination, Shalini Passi and Dalip Tahil discussed their suspicions. Dalip believed Sahil Salathia could have been responsible, while Rida also came under suspicion.

Krystle, meanwhile, informed Rida about Shalini’s observations regarding her behaviour, giving the two Traitors another advantage as they approached the final stages.

The remaining players also took part in a task designed to increase the prize money. Contestants had to collect gold bars attached to camels, with the challenge adding to the final prize pot.

By the end of the task, the total prize money had reached Rs 66 lakh.

Dalip Tahil and Sahil Salathia Eliminated

As the finale progressed, the Circle of Shaq became increasingly decisive.

Dalip Tahil was eliminated during the final Circle of Shaq, while Sahil Salathia was also knocked out before the final stage involving Shalini Passi.

That left Krystle D’Souza, Rida Tharana and Shalini Passi as the final three contestants.

With both Krystle and Rida secretly playing as Traitors, the Innocent’s chances of taking home the prize disappeared.

Krystle and Rida were ultimately declared the winners of The Traitors Season 2.

What Is The Traitors?

The Traitors is a psychological reality competition in which contestants are secretly divided into two groups — Traitors and Innocents.

At the beginning of the game, host Karan Johar secretly selects a small number of contestants to become Traitors. The remaining contestants are designated as Innocents.

The Traitors’ objective is to eliminate the Innocents without being identified, while the Innocents must work together to expose and banish the Traitors.

Contestants participate in daily missions to build the prize pot. At night, the Traitors secretly meet and select an Innocent to “murder”. That contestant is eliminated from the game and does not return to the following morning’s breakfast.

The remaining contestants then gather at the Circle of Shaq, where they discuss their suspicions and vote to banish the person they believe is a Traitor.

The endgame is particularly important. If the remaining contestants are all Innocents, the prize money is divided among them. However, if even one Traitor remains in the game, the Traitor can claim the entire prize.
