Even before their first collaboration, Cocktail 2, hits theatres, Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna have locked another project together.
According to reports by Variety India, the duo will headline an untitled romantic comedy that blends love, humour and unexpected chaos — with a sci-fi twist.
A Marriage on the Brink
In the upcoming film, Shahid and Rashmika will portray a married couple whose relationship is on the verge of collapse, with divorce seemingly inevitable.
However, just as things begin to unravel, a scientific experiment goes wrong, pushing them into bizarre and comedic circumstances. Amid the chaos, the couple is forced to confront unresolved emotions and reconsider their bond.

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma
The project will be helmed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, known for directing Badhaai Ho and Maidaan.
It will be produced by Sunir Kheterpal in association with Jio Studios. Production is reportedly expected to commence around August–September 2026.
For Shahid, the film marks another unconventional romantic outing after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which combined romance with science fiction elements.
Busy Slate Ahead
Shahid was recently seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s gangster thriller O’Romeo, which reportedly opened with ₹8.25 crore net on its first day. He is also set to return in Farzi Season 2, created by Raj & DK.
