Samyuktha Joins Ram Pothineni’s RAPO23 as Female Lead

Samyuktha has added another promising project to her growing filmography. The actress has officially joined Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film, tentatively titled RAPO23, as the female lead. The announcement was made by the makers on the occasion of her birthday, confirming her association with the project.

The film has already attracted considerable attention as it marks a major new chapter in Ram Pothineni’s career. Besides playing the protagonist, Ram is stepping behind the camera for the first time as the film’s director. He has also penned the story, making RAPO23 a particularly personal project for the actor.

Samyuktha comes on board RAPO23

With Samyuktha now confirmed as the female lead, RAPO23 brings together two prominent performers for what is expected to be an action-driven thriller.

The film is being produced by Ram’s brother, Krishna Pothineni, under the Rapo Cinematic banner. Production is currently underway in Hyderabad, with the team shooting important portions of the film as part of its ongoing schedule.

The makers had previously revealed that Thirunavukarasu is handling the cinematography, while acclaimed composer Sam CS is responsible for the music. For Ram Pothineni, RAPO23 represents a significant career transition. The actor is taking on multiple responsibilities this time, serving as the lead actor, director and story writer.

The actress is also headlining The Black Gold, directed by Yogi KMC. The female-centric project casts her as a determined police officer who takes on an illegal coal-mining network operating along the Telangana-Maharashtra border.

For the role, Samyuktha has reportedly undergone martial arts and combat training, with the actress keen to handle her own action sequences. The film is expected to showcase her in a physically demanding role.

Another project in her lineup is Swayambhu, a period drama in which she plays one of the female leads. She underwent horse-riding training as part of her preparation for the film.
