Taking to Instagram, Ruhanika recounted a frightening cab ride that left her shaken and prompted a broader conversation around passenger safety and accountability on ride-hailing platforms.

According to Ruhanika Dhawan, the incident occurred while she was returning home from college on a route she is well familiar with. What began as a routine commute soon turned uncomfortable when she noticed the cab driver taking unnecessary detours.

Despite the navigation system clearly displaying the correct route, the driver allegedly continued to move in the wrong direction. Ruhanika stated that even after she repeatedly requested him to follow the GPS and take the appropriate turns, her concerns were ignored.

As the journey extended further, her discomfort reportedly escalated into fear. The situation became more alarming when she asked the driver to stop the car and he did not do so immediately.

In her account, Ruhanika Dhawan further alleged that the driver began using abusive and foul language, which significantly heightened her distress during the ride.

Feeling unsafe, she eventually raised her voice, following which the driver stopped the vehicle. Ruhanika chose to exit the cab and complete the remainder of her journey using the metro.

Reflecting on the incident, the actress spoke candidly about the vulnerability she felt in that moment. As a young woman and a college student who depends on cab services for everyday travel, the experience left her questioning the reliability and safety of such services.
