Reese Witherspoon has reassured fans that her 84-year-old father, John Draper Witherspoon, is doing well after being taken to a Nashville hospital following a reported fall.
The Legally Blonde star addressed the situation on Instagram Stories after reports emerged about her father being hospitalized on Friday, August 7.
“Earlier today, several outlets reported that my dad was taken to the hospital after a fall. I want to let everyone know that he is fine now. He is being taken care of by wonderful doctors and nurses,” Reese wrote.
She also expressed her gratitude to those who contacted the family after learning about the incident.

According to a report by Page Six, John Witherspoon was reportedly found on the ground near the pool at his condominium in Nashville, Tennessee.
A fellow resident reportedly noticed him from a nearby balcony and alerted the building’s doorman. The doorman and building manager then checked on him before he was taken to hospital.
Nashville Metro reportedly confirmed that a medical incident involving someone being transported to a hospital had occurred at the condominium building. However, authorities did not identify the person involved.
