Rafah Nanjiba Torsa Announces Four New Films for 2026

Rafah Nanjiba Torsa is heading into 2026 with an ambitious slate of projects, with the 2019 Miss World Bangladesh winner set to appear in four new films across different genres and platforms.

The model-turned-actress has been signing projects in quick succession and is currently focused on completing ** Mati **, a rural drama scheduled for a theatrical release during Eid-ul-Azha.

For Torsa, the coming months represent an opportunity to explore a wider range of characters while continuing to establish herself as an actress beyond her pageant background.

Torsa’s ‘Mati’ Nears Completion

Directed by Tarif Syed, Mati features newcomer Alvi Mamun opposite Torsa. The cast also includes Md Iqbal Hossain, Mahmud Alam and Ashiq Sarkar in important roles.

Tarif Syed has also written the film’s story and screenplay.

According to Torsa, most of the shooting has already been completed, with only a small portion remaining before production wraps.

The rural setting and dramatic storyline are expected to give Torsa another opportunity to take on a character distinct from some of her earlier screen appearances.

‘Roktochaya’ Heads Toward International Festivals

Torsa has also recently completed the short film ** Roktochaya **, directed by Ali Zulfikar Zahedi.

The project is being prepared for submissions to international film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival. Its festival journey could give Torsa an opportunity to reach audiences beyond the commercial Bangladeshi film circuit.

Rather than focusing exclusively on theatrical releases, the actress is increasingly building a portfolio that spans short films, feature films and digital productions.

‘Nirjon Shakkhor’ Explores Discrimination Against Women

Another completed project in Torsa’s lineup is ** Nirjon Shakkhor **, a film that addresses discrimination against women in society.

Torsa stars opposite Khairul Basar in the project, which has already completed production and is currently awaiting release.

The film adds a socially focused title to her upcoming slate and further reflects the actress’s interest in stories built around different themes and perspectives.

A Fourth Film Remains Under Wraps

Torsa has completed shooting for another film, but she is not yet able to reveal its title or details because of contractual obligations.

The production company is expected to make an official announcement in the coming days.

That means four separate projects are currently associated with Torsa’s 2026 schedule, although their release plans and formats may vary.

Reflecting on the diverse lineup, Torsa said, “Working on four distinct stories will allow me to present myself differently across genres and platforms.”

She added that audiences would ultimately be the ones to evaluate her performances once the projects become available in cinemas and on streaming platforms.

Cinema Remains Torsa’s Priority

Torsa’s expanding workload covers feature films, OTT productions and television, but she says her priorities remain clear.

When choosing a project, she looks primarily at the strength of the creative team and the quality of the story. Among the available formats, cinema remains her first preference, followed by OTT productions and television dramas.

That approach has helped her build a varied portfolio rather than limiting herself to a single type of screen work.

‘Plan B’ and ‘She’ Add to Her Digital Work

Torsa has also been receiving positive responses for her performance in the web original series ** Plan B ** following its digital release.

Beyond acting, she has expanded into hosting with her podcast ** She **, whose first season focused on social issues and conversations aimed at spreading awareness.

The actress has confirmed that the second season of She will begin soon. She plans to continue the podcast’s emphasis on positive social messages.
