Radhika Merchant’s Manish Malhotra Kanjeevaram Look Blends Handloom and Classical Dance

Radhika Merchant paid a graceful tribute to Ganpati Bappa through classical dance, pairing her performance with a striking custom Kanjeevaram ensemble by Manish Malhotra. The look brought together traditional South Indian handloom, couture detailing and a silhouette designed specifically to complement the movement of classical dance.

Rather than wearing the Kanjeevaram silk as a conventional six-yard saree, Manish Malhotra reimagined the fabric as a pre-stitched skirt-style ensemble, allowing Radhika greater freedom of movement during her performance.
