“Our daughter was deeply wanted because I had a really tough time with pregnancies,” Priyanka said. “She’s my miracle baby. When she was born, everything else just paused.”

The actor added that the experience of having a premature baby continues to shape how she feels as a mother.

“I think it’s a preemie mom or NICU mom thing, but I’m still in constant fear,” she explained. “When she’s not beside me — if she’s at school or when I’m in another country — it feels like your heart is walking outside your body.”

Malti’s Personality Already Shining

Priyanka also shared that Malti has already begun showing signs of a lively and expressive personality.

According to the actor, her daughter enjoys performing in her own playful way.

Coping With the Early Days

Earlier, Priyanka revealed that the announcement of Malti’s birth happened sooner than expected because the news had leaked publicly.

Due to her premature arrival, Malti was admitted to the ICU shortly after birth. Priyanka recalled that those days were emotionally intense for the family.

During that time, Nick would sing to their daughter while playing his guitar, while Priyanka found comfort in prayer. She chanted spiritual mantras including the Mahamrityunjay Mantra, the Gayatri Mantra, and “Om Namah Shivaya.”

Today, Priyanka often shares glimpses of her life with Malti on social media. The actor even brings her daughter to film sets occasionally, balancing motherhood with work commitments.

She was recently spotted caring for Malti between shoots while filming her latest project.
