Saif Ali Khan Reveals Senior Actor Once Told Him To Hide Marriage With Amrita Singh

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently opened up about an unusual piece of advice he received during the early days of his career. The actor revealed that a senior actor once suggested he should keep his marriage with Amrita Singh hidden from the public, advice Saif now describes as the “worst and most bizarre” he ever received.

Speaking in an interview with News18, Saif recalled that he was advised not to disclose his marriage because it could negatively affect his image and popularity among fans.

“I remember that there was a senior actor from a different generation who told me not to tell anyone that I’m married,” Saif shared.

He further explained that the actor may have believed that marriage could impact a leading man’s fan following at the time.

“I think he was trying to say that it would have spoiled my image and fan following. It was the worst and most bizarre advice that someone ever gave me,” Saif added.

Saif Ali Khan And Amrita Singh’s Marriage

Saif Ali Khan married actress Amrita Singh in 1991, shortly after entering the film industry. Their relationship attracted significant media attention due to their age difference, with Amrita being older than Saif by 12 years.

The couple later became parents to Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan before separating in 2004.

“My mom and dad have done a great job of ensuring I didn’t feel the pain that comes with a broken home,” Ibrahim had shared.

He also noted that he never witnessed conflict between his parents growing up.
