Farah Khan has responded to criticism that she favoured Lock Upp Season 2 winner Shreya Kalra, explaining that she did not know about a professional connection between their teams when the reality show began.

Farah explained that she contacted the company after seeing comments about alleged bias and asked whether Shreya was part of its creator network. She said that was when she learned of the connection.

Her explanation was essentially that knowing about the professional association only after the controversy had started did not support the idea that the connection influenced her treatment of Shreya on the show.
