Kiara Advani and Saif Ali Khan Reportedly Set to Share Screen for Kanika Dhillon’s Supernatural Thriller

Kiara Advani and Saif Ali Khan are reportedly preparing to collaborate for the first time on a supernatural thriller being developed by writer-producer Kanika Dhillon. If the project moves ahead as planned, it will also mark Dhillon’s first outing as a director.

The film is currently untitled, and details about its storyline, supporting cast and production schedule remain under wraps. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the screenplay is being developed with Kiara and Saif specifically in mind, with the makers hoping to begin production later this year.

A source cited in the report said that the project combines an intense thriller narrative with supernatural elements. The source also indicated that Dhillon, Excel Entertainment and the writing team have spent considerable time developing the story before moving toward production.

Saif Ali Khan and Kiara Advani to Explore a New Genre Together

The reported pairing brings together two actors who have taken different routes through Hindi cinema.

Kiara Advani has established herself across commercial entertainers, romantic dramas and action-oriented projects, while Saif Ali Khan has continued to move between mainstream productions and darker, more experimental material.

Through her production banner Kathha Pictures, Dhillon has also expanded beyond screenwriting. She wrote and produced Do Patti, further strengthening her involvement across different stages of film development.

Directing a supernatural thriller would now give her an opportunity to bring that writing sensibility directly to the screen.

What Kiara Advani Has Coming Up

Kiara Advani is also preparing for the release of Toxic, the action drama headlined by Yash. The film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.

Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.

Her reported collaboration with Saif would add another distinct project to her upcoming slate and potentially see the actor move into a darker supernatural-thriller setting.

Saif Ali Khan’s Next Film

Saif Ali Khan is set to appear next in Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan.

The film is a remake of Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam thriller Oppam and features Akshay Kumar alongside Saif. Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher are also part of the cast.
