Television actress Donal Bisht recently surprised fans by revealing that she had auditioned for the role of Shurpanakha in the upcoming mythological epic Ramayana.
The ambitious project is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and stars Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram. The film is currently one of the most talked-about projects in Indian cinema.

Speaking about the experience, Donal Bisht shared that she was surprised when she received a call from casting director Mukesh Chhabra regarding the audition.
According to her, she never expected to be approached for a role like Shurpanakha in such a large-scale production.

Donal said she felt extremely grateful to have been considered for a role in what she described as one of the biggest films currently being made in India.
The actress added that the opportunity made her feel encouraged, as it showed that people in the industry were noticing her work and believed she could be suitable for significant roles.
Star-studded cast of Ramayana
The film features a massive ensemble cast.
Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi has been cast as Sita.
Yash, known for the KGF franchise, will appear as Ravana.
