Bindu Denies Hoichoi Series Return Rumours With Apurba

Afsan Ara Bindu has dismissed recent speculation that she is preparing to return to acting in a new Hoichoi web series alongside Ziaul Faruq Apurba.

Rumours of Bindu’s possible comeback gained traction on social media after reports claimed that she would reunite with Apurba in an upcoming political thriller titled Headline. The possibility generated excitement among viewers familiar with the pair’s popular television collaborations from the 2010s.

However, both Bindu and Hoichoi Bangladesh have now rejected the reports, making it clear that no such casting has been confirmed.

Hoichoi Rejects ‘Headline’ Casting Reports

Hoichoi Bangladesh Country Director Sakib R Khan said the platform has not confirmed a project involving Bindu.

According to Khan, the reports linking the actress to Headline are false, and Hoichoi has not finalised any casting related to Bindu’s alleged comeback.

The clarification effectively puts an end to the current speculation surrounding the actress’s supposed return to the streaming platform.

Bindu Says She Was Unaware of the Project

Bindu also denied having any knowledge of plans to appear in Headline when contacted about the reports.

The actress acknowledged that she occasionally speaks with directors and receives story proposals, but said none of those discussions were related to the project circulating online.

Her comments leave the possibility of a future acting return open, but there is currently no confirmation that she will appear in Headline or another Hoichoi series.

What Is Known About ‘Headline’?

Headline has reportedly been conceived as a political thriller, with Apurba linked to the role of a journalist.

The project has also been associated with writer Syed Ahmed Shawki and director Saleh Sobhan Auneem. However, details about its production and casting remain limited, and Bindu’s involvement has specifically been denied.

Until the streaming platform or production team makes an official announcement, reports about the actress joining the series should therefore be treated as speculation.

Bindu and Apurba’s Popular Television Partnership

The rumours attracted particular attention because Bindu and Apurba were once one of television’s most recognisable on-screen pairs.

The two actors appeared together in several popular dramas during the early 2010s, including Megh, Mineral Water and Bilombito Ticket.

Their last reported collaboration was ** Tritiyojon ** in 2016, meaning a reunion nearly a decade later would naturally have generated considerable interest among longtime viewers.

That history appears to have helped fuel the recent social-media discussion about a possible Hoichoi project.

Bindu’s Selective Return to Acting

Bindu rose to prominence after winning the Lux–Channel i Superstar competition and subsequently became a familiar face on Bangladeshi television.

She later stepped away from regular acting work for several years, making her appearances increasingly selective.

The actress did return to screen acting in the Chorki-produced web film ** Unish 20 **, where she starred opposite Arifin Shuvoo. Her occasional screen appearances have continued to keep interest alive in the possibility of a more substantial comeback.

For now, however, there is no confirmed Hoichoi series featuring Bindu.

While the actress has not ruled out acting in the future, her latest comments make one point clear: she is not confirmed for Headline, and the current reports of her Hoichoi return remain unsubstantiated.
