The 50: Jahnavi Killekar slams Shiv Thakare after eviction, says ‘Marathi people are not like this’ — Exclusive

The latest episode of The 50 saw the unexpected eviction of Marathi actor Jahnavi Killekar. In an exclusive interaction, she opened up about her journey, alliances and disappointment with fellow contestant Shiv Thakare.

Calling her exit a strategic move by the rival camp, Jahnavi said she believes she was caught in an unfavourable nomination round.

“I got stuck in the wrong nomination”

Reflecting on her journey, Jahnavi shared that she felt proud to be part of such a large platform. She entered the show hoping to build strong alliances and friendships.

“My journey was good. I made genuine friends. The game is about alliances, and I tried to play with honesty,” she said, adding that she expected support from Faiz but believes strategy may have influenced decisions.

Speaking about her bond with Nikki Tamboli, Jahnavi described her as loyal and emotionally invested in friendships. The two previously shared screen space on Bigg Boss Marathi, where their relationship evolved from disagreements to close friendship.

“She doesn’t always show her soft side, but she cares deeply,” Jahnavi said.

On Shiv Thakare: “Marathi people support each other”

Jahnavi expressed strong disappointment over Shiv Thakare’s decision to nominate her. She revealed that during a task involving a gold pass advantage, she chose to support him even though it meant going against her own team.

“I had huge expectations from Shiv. I considered him like a brother. This was my first Hindi reality show, and he knew how important it was for me,” she stated.

Addressing Shiv’s frequent references to being a “Marathi mulga,” Jahnavi added, “He speaks about being Marathi, but Marathi people support each other. I don’t think this reflects that spirit.”

Body-Shaming Row Mentioned

Jahnavi also reacted to the body-shaming controversy involving Nikki Tamboli. She criticised remarks allegedly made by Prince Narula, calling such comments inappropriate.

“This is wrong on many levels. He has a family and should have been more responsible,” she said.

As The 50 continues, Jahnavi’s candid remarks have added another layer of drama to the competitive reality series.
