Bhagyashri Borse has shared her experience of working alongside Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the upcoming film Operation Ganga, describing the opportunity as a blessing.
The film, directed by Vishnu Mohan, marks Bhagyashri’s debut in Malayalam cinema. It also features Arjun Rampal, who is making his Malayalam debut with the project and sharing the screen with Mohanlal for the first time.
Bhagyashri Borse Shares a Note for Mohanlal
Bhagyashri recently shared a photograph featuring herself with Mohanlal and expressed her admiration for the veteran actor.
“Dearest Mohanlal sir, to be your co-actor feels like a blessing. Every day of shoot, I get to see cinema through your eyes and learn from you.. you are truly gifted sir.”
Her comments echo sentiments recently expressed by Arjun Rampal, who described working with Mohanlal as an “honour” and “privilege.” Arjun also praised the actor as “supremely talented and gifted” and called the experience inspirational.
Operation Ganga Is Based on a 2022 Evacuation Mission
Operation Ganga is inspired by the 2022 Indian government evacuation mission that helped rescue Indian citizens stranded in Ukraine and neighbouring countries during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The film is backed by producer Gokulam Gopalan under the Sree Gokulam Movies banner.
The cast also includes Parthiban, who recently appeared in a cameo as a former army officer in Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar.
Vishnu Mohan on Building the Film’s Technical Team
The scale of Operation Ganga has also brought together technicians from different film industries.
The technical team includes Shashwat Sachdev, known for his work on Dhurandhar, as the music director, while Sea Young Oh is associated with the film’s stunt choreography. Polish cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, who has worked on the Pushpa films, is the cinematographer.
The crew also includes editor Shameer Muhammed and production designer Rajeevan.
In an interview with Cinema Express, director Vishnu Mohan explained why assembling the right technical team was important for a project of this scale.
“This can’t be made like a usual Malayalam film. So we took a lot of time to finalise the crew,” the filmmaker said.
The director had previously said that he began scripting the film after Mohanlal responded positively to the idea.
Bhagyashri Borse’s Upcoming Projects
Bhagyashri Borse, who has been associated with films including Kaantha and Lenin, has several projects in her lineup.
Her upcoming work also includes Seyon, in which she will share the screen with Sivakarthikeyan.
With Operation Ganga marking her entry into Malayalam cinema, Bhagyashri’s collaboration with Mohanlal adds another significant project to her growing filmography.
