‘Baahubali: The Epic’ Box Office Day 4 – Monday Drop Pushes Total To Rs 26 Crore

SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali: The Epic”, featuring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, has recorded a sharp fall in collections on its first Monday.

The film released in cinemas on 31 October and enjoyed a strong three day opening weekend. But according to early estimates from Sacnilk, the pan India period action drama managed around ₹1.65 crore on day four, taking the total domestic collection to nearly ₹26 crore.

“Baahubali: The Epic” earned ₹1.15 crore from Thursday premiere previews, followed by ₹9.65 crore on Friday. The film went on to collect ₹7.25 crore on Saturday and ₹6.30 crore on Sunday. Monday’s drop was expected, but the scale of decline will now put pressure on weekday hold.

Meanwhile, “Thamma”, which is in its second week, earned about ₹1.50 crore on its second Monday — almost matching the new Baahubali title.

Globally, “Baahubali: The Epic” has earned almost ₹39.75 crore in its opening weekend. The South territories continue to drive higher occupancy, reflecting Rajamouli’s secure market base, while the Hindi belt remains more fragmented because of competing titles including “Thamma”, “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat” and “The Taj Story”.

For wider comparison, “Baahubali: The Beginning” (2015) clocked ₹650 crore worldwide, and “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (2017) soared to ₹1788.06 crore worldwide — milestones which continue to define the franchise.

The makers have also teased an upcoming animated universe entry titled “Baahubali: The Eternal War”, said to have a budget of nearly ₹120 crore.
