Who is earning more for directing Allu Arjun — Atlee or Lokesh Kanagaraj?

Actor Allu Arjun is currently busy shooting for his much-awaited project AA22xA6, directed by Atlee. After completing this film, the star will collaborate with Lokesh Kanagaraj for another big-budget action film tentatively titled AA23 (LK07).

While both projects have generated strong buzz among fans, reports have also revealed the massive remuneration being offered to the two filmmakers.

Atlee’s reported salary for AA22xA6

According to reports cited by Moneycontrol, director Atlee earlier earned around ₹30 crore for directing the blockbuster Jawan, which starred Shah Rukh Khan.

Following the film’s huge success, the director’s fee has reportedly increased significantly. For AA22xA6, Atlee is said to be receiving around ₹100 crore, making it one of the highest director remunerations in Indian cinema.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s salary for AA23

Meanwhile, filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj previously directed Coolie, featuring Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film received mixed reviews but performed well commercially.

For his upcoming collaboration with Allu Arjun in AA23, Lokesh Kanagaraj is reportedly being paid around ₹75 crore.

Based on these reports, Atlee is currently receiving a higher salary than Lokesh Kanagaraj for their respective projects with Allu Arjun.

About Allu Arjun’s upcoming films

The actor’s next film AA22xA6 is said to revolve around a parallel universe concept and is being mounted on a massive scale. Reports suggest that Deepika Padukone will play the female lead, while Rashmika Mandanna could appear in a negative role. The film may also feature Allu Arjun in multiple roles.

Although the official release date is yet to be announced, the makers are expected to reveal the first teaser on April 8, 2026, coinciding with Atlee’s 44th birthday.

After completing AA22xA6, Allu Arjun will move on to AA23, which will mark Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut in Telugu cinema. The film’s music and background score will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The project is expected to go on floors around July 2026, and the makers have already released an announcement teaser featuring visuals inspired by a Western-style action theme.
