GST Raid at Ankita Lokhande–Vicky Jain’s Family Businesses in Bilaspur; Rs 27.5 Crore Deposited

Television actor Ankita Lokhande and her husband, businessman Vicky Jain, have found themselves at the centre of a major tax investigation after the Chhattisgarh State GST department conducted extensive search operations in Bilaspur. The action was linked to coal trading firms associated with the Jain family’s business interests.

Multi-Location GST Searches in Bilaspur

According to official sources quoted in media reports, enforcement teams from Raipur carried out simultaneous searches at 11 locations connected to three major coal trading groups — Mahavir Coal Washery, Feel Coal, and Paras Coal & Beneficiation.

The raids were conducted on the directions of State GST Secretary Mukesh Bansal and began early on December 12, continuing until late at night. Officials searched offices, residential premises, coal washeries, and industrial plants across Bilaspur.

Rs 27.5 Crore Tax Surrendered

During the course of the operation, authorities confirmed a total tax surrender of Rs 27.5 crore. As per preliminary information, businesses linked to Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain’s family reportedly surrendered around Rs 10 crore during the initial phase.

On the following day, an additional Rs 11 crore was deposited, while another coal washery surrendered Rs 6.5 crore, bringing the cumulative amount to Rs 27.5 crore.

GST officials suspect irregularities and possible manipulation of input tax credit, though further investigation is ongoing.

Timing Coincides With Wedding Anniversary

The development surfaced on the same day Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain marked their fourth wedding anniversary. Earlier in the day, Ankita shared a heartfelt note reflecting on their journey together, speaking about growth, trust, patience, and standing by each other through challenging times.

The post struck a personal note, contrasting sharply with the legal developments that followed later in the day.

Authorities have not announced any arrests so far, and officials say the matter is still under review based on documents and digital evidence collected during the searches. Further action will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
