Adah Sharma has never been one to follow the rulebook — whether on screen or in real life. Known for her distinctive personality and fearless choices, the actor’s approach to health, fitness, and self-care is equally unconventional. In a candid conversation with HT Lifestyle, Adah described her daily routine as “unhinged but disciplined,” blending humour, mindfulness, and deep personal philosophy.
Adah Sharma’s Diet: Plant-Based, Playful and Deeply Personal
Adah begins her mornings with hydration and healthy fats. Her breakfast routine includes coconut water paired with coconut malai (coconut cream), which she says is rich in good fats and protein. She also eats a boiled potato sprinkled with jal jeera powder, pumpkin seeds, and pomegranate — a combination that reflects her preference for simple, whole foods.
At 33, the actor proudly calls herself a “rice enthusiast.” Rice, she says, is non-negotiable and accompanies almost every meal. “I love rice. Rice is my favourite food. I can eat rice with everything — even pav bhaji. I top my pizza with rice,” she shared.
Her diet is strictly plant-based and guided by compassion. Explaining her philosophy, Adah said she avoids animal products entirely, adding that her choices are rooted in respect for all living beings. When asked about the one thing she cannot live without, her answer was simple and telling: “Water; mandatory, unfortunately.”

Adah prefers reinventing indulgent foods using natural ingredients. She revealed that she uses persimmon fruit to recreate creamy mousse textures and sunflower seeds to make healthy crackers. “Fresh food is a treat for me. I enjoy it,” she said, adding that most comfort foods can be recreated without processed sugar or dairy while retaining flavour and texture.
‘Gravity Is My Trainer’: Adah’s Unusual Fitness Philosophy
Traditional gym routines don’t excite Adah Sharma. Currently preparing for an upcoming film, she revealed that her newest workout obsession is “flying.” Her fitness routine is driven by curiosity, spontaneity, and mental engagement rather than fixed schedules.
“My fitness plan is anxiety, curiosity, and suddenly deciding to do a headstand at 2 am,” she joked. “Gravity is my trainer. Sometimes I fight it, sometimes I surrender. My trainer is my mind.”
To overcome fitness plateaus, Adah believes in shocking the body and confusing the mind. She advocates new movements, unusual angles, and mental reframing. “Some days be a warrior, other days be still like furniture. Romanticise the struggle,” she advised.
Beauty and Self-Care: Water, Coconut Oil and Mental Detox
For Adah, beauty begins internally. Her top skincare advice? Drink water like medicine and mind your own business. “Sleep is rare, expensive and powerful. I try investing in it,” she said.

Self-care, she added, is about regular “software updates” on herself — stepping away from her phone, embracing digital detox, and even resolving imaginary arguments with herself. “I solve imaginary arguments with myself and win,” she laughed.
