Zaid Darbar Responds to Daisy Shah’s ‘Gauahar Khan Was the 17th Ally’ Remark: ‘Watch the Show’

Zaid Darbar has responded to Daisy Shah’s comments about his equation with Gauahar Khan following their stint on Alliance, asking the actress to watch the show before drawing conclusions about what happened inside the headquarters.

Daisy Shah and Zaid Darbar entered Alliance as a pair, but their relationship appeared to become strained as the reality show progressed. After her eviction, Daisy spoke about her experience with Zaid and his wife, Gauahar Khan, and suggested that she had expected more emotional support from Zaid during their time together.

Responding to Daisy’s description of Gauahar as the “17th ally” of the show, Zaid said that he understood the remark but maintained that Gauahar has always been his closest ally.

“Gauahar Khan was the 17th Ally in the show, correct, and she is my OG Ally as well. But yes, in the show, Daisy was my Ally, and she is my friend outside,” Zaid said.

He explained that friendships can be experienced differently inside and outside a reality-show environment, particularly when contestants are placed under constant pressure.

“I guess that when you are friends with someone, it’s completely different when you come out of the show,” he added.

Zaid also responded to Daisy’s claim that she had supported him emotionally whenever he struggled during the competition.

“The way she is saying that she gave me a shoulder to cry on and all, we are supposed to do that when we are friends. We both were there for each other whenever we needed. It’s not like I wasn’t there,” he said.

Zaid asks Daisy to watch the show

Zaid further suggested that Daisy’s perspective could change after watching the episodes in full.

“I really want her to watch the show; she will know what the reality is,” he said.

Despite disagreeing with Daisy’s assessment, Zaid maintained that he still considers her a friend and said he would rather allow her time to understand his perspective.

“I would still give that to her, that she is my friend, and we need to see the larger picture. I would wait for her to understand. We have a lot of time, and I believe we are friends,” he said.

Zaid also indicated that he did not want to publicly dissect the disagreement further.

“What happens between friends should remain between them. I think I will keep my dignity up and end this here,” he said.

What Daisy Shah said about Zaid Darbar

Daisy had previously opened up about her disappointment with Zaid, saying that she felt their friendship was not reciprocated in the same way.

“I’m not saying that Zaid spoke ill of me behind my back. But he was never there for me. Each time he would break down or would get riled up, I offered him my shoulder to cry on. But he has never offered his shoulder to me,” Daisy said.

The actress, who was recently evicted from Alliance, said she believed she had taken on an emotional-support role for Zaid during the competition.

“I chose to be his punching bag, his emotional anchor and his confidante. I expected the same from him. But mujhe yeh cheeze nahi mili unse,” she said.

Daisy also claimed that other allies inside the headquarters had noticed the dynamic between the two.

Daisy also responded to Gauahar Khan’s earlier assessment that she had failed to recognise Zaid as her only genuine friend inside the show.

According to Daisy, Gauahar was watching only a limited portion of what happened inside the headquarters.

“She said whatever she did because she was only seeing 45 minutes of footage out of 24 hours,” Daisy said.

She reiterated her earlier description of Gauahar as the “17th ally” while also stressing that she did not want the reality-show conflict to permanently affect her relationship with Zaid.

“But I believe that whatever happened inside the headquarters should be left there. I don’t want to bring up these things in the real world because it could ruin our dynamic,” Daisy said.

Daisy added that she preferred to consider the circumstances under which all the contestants were placed rather than continue the dispute outside the show.

“I’ll only tell myself that everyone was put on the spot,” she said.
