Who Is Mahnoor Safdar? Maryam Nawaz’s Daughter Marries Azan Jabbar

Mahnoor Safdar, the younger daughter of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz, has married Azan Jabbar, son of businessman Jabbar Khalid, in an intimate nikah ceremony attended by family members and close guests.

The ceremony was held at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra residence, keeping the celebrations largely within the family circle. The wedding has attracted attention because of Mahnoor’s connection to one of Pakistan’s most prominent political families.

Mahnoor Safdar’s Bridal Look

According to a report by Dawn, Mahnoor wore a metallic sage Mughal-e-Azam peshwas designed by Pakistani fashion designer Nida Azwer.

The elaborate bridal ensemble incorporated traditional South Asian embellishment techniques, including mirror work, hirmuch, gota and zardozi. The combination gave the outfit a richly detailed, regal appearance while retaining the traditional character of a Pakistani bridal look.

Azan Jabbar chose a Faraz Manan prince coat for the nikah. His outfit also carried a connection to the Sharif family’s recent wedding style, as Mahnoor’s brother Junaid Safdar had previously worn a Faraz Manan sherwani for his wedding reception.

Maryam Nawaz also opted for Pakistani couture for the family occasion, wearing a custom-made kurta for her daughter’s special day.

Who Is Mahnoor Safdar?

Mahnoor Safdar is the younger daughter of Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar. She is also the granddaughter of former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

Unlike several members of her family, Mahnoor has largely remained outside the political spotlight. Her public profile has primarily been linked to her family and social connections rather than politics.

She previously came into the news in connection with her brother Junaid Safdar’s marriage to Shanzeh Ali Rohail.

Mahnoor’s Connection to Junaid Safdar’s Marriage

Mahnoor reportedly played a role in bringing the families of Junaid Safdar and Shanzeh Ali Rohail closer.

According to Sheikh Rohale Asghar, a senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and Shanzeh’s grandfather, Mahnoor and Shanzeh had been classmates and developed a close friendship.

Asghar reportedly said that their friendship eventually helped establish a connection between the two families, contributing to the eventual match between Junaid and Shanzeh.

Mahnoor’s association with Shanzeh reportedly extended beyond their school friendship. She also attended the wedding of Shanzeh’s eldest brother, further strengthening ties between the two families.

Junaid Safdar, Maryam Nawaz’s son and Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, later married Shanzeh in a lavish ceremony in Lahore.

Mahnoor’s own wedding to Azan Jabbar now marks another prominent family celebration for the Sharif household. The nikah was kept relatively intimate, with close relatives and invited guests attending the ceremony at Jati Umra.
