As the Supreme Court prepares to hear the Twisha Sharma death case on Monday, several unanswered questions continue to dominate public discussion around the investigation.

The 32-year-old actor-model was found dead in Bhopal earlier this month, and the case has since drawn national attention due to allegations involving disputed evidence, delays in procedure and possible institutional influence.

The Supreme Court recently took suo motu cognisance of the matter, referring to alleged “institutional bias and procedural discrepancies” in the probe. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government has sought a CBI investigation, and the High Court has already ordered a second post-mortem examination by an AIIMS Delhi team.

The issue became more significant after the Madhya Pradesh High Court ordered a second autopsy, observing that maintaining public confidence in the investigation was essential.

2. Was CCTV Evidence Properly Secured?

Twisha’s family alleged that the residence where she was found remained under the effective control of the accused family for nearly two days before investigators secured key evidence.

Questions were also raised about how CCTV footage from the property appeared publicly if the DVR system had already been seized by authorities.

According to reports, eight CCTV cameras were installed at the residence.

Meanwhile, Giribala Singh reportedly claimed before a magistrate court that the CCTV system had technical issues and displayed incorrect timestamps. She also alleged that proper seizure procedures were not followed during the collection of recordings.

Samarth Singh has reportedly argued before court that the chats being shared publicly are incomplete and edited.

Officials reportedly stated that she had planned to travel to Ajmer on May 15 to meet her brother, Major Harshit Sharma.

6. Why Did Samarth Singh Disappear After the Incident?

Samarth Singh’s disappearance after the incident has also become a major focus of the investigation.

Police reportedly issued a lookout notice and announced a cash reward before he later surrendered.

Investigators are now questioning him regarding the events of May 12, his communication records and alleged inconsistencies highlighted by Twisha’s family.

He currently remains in police custody.

The discussion intensified because Giribala Singh is a retired district judge and currently serves as a consumer commission chairperson.
