Tere Ishk Mein vs Gustaakh Ishq Box Office Collection Day 2:
Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein, which released on November 28, has continued its steady performance at the Indian box office after a mixed but respectable opening. As per early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected ₹17 crore on Day 2, following its ₹16 crore Day 1 debut, bringing its two-day total to ₹33 crore.
Tere Ishk Mein Shows Strong Hold on Day 2
The film recorded an overall 27.92% Hindi occupancy on Saturday.
Occupancy by show timings:
- Morning: 12.08%
- Afternoon: 26.60%
- Evening: 29.25%
- Night: 43.74%
Chennai emerged as the strongest market with 45.75% occupancy, although the Tamil version saw a lower overall turnout at 19.94%.
Despite its solid run, the film still trails behind Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday, which notched ₹21 crore on its opening day and ₹24 crore on Day 2. Still, Tere Ishk Mein stands out as Dhanush’s biggest Day 1 opener of the year, surpassing Kuberaa and Idli Kadaai.

Releasing alongside Tere Ishk Mein, Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s Gustaakh Ishq faced an uphill battle from day one. Limited pre-release buzz and Dhanush’s dominating presence left the film with little room to expand its audience.
Even with encouraging reviews and strong word-of-mouth, the film could not draw significant footfall. Occupancy failed to rise during the typically stronger evening and night shows.
Gustaakh Ishq, produced by Manish Malhotra’s Stage5 Productions, opened at ₹50 lakh, while early Day 2 estimates stand at ₹45 lakh, taking the total to ₹95 lakh. After two days, the film is yet to cross the ₹1 crore mark at the domestic box office.
Story and Setting
The film follows a young man who falls deeply in love with the daughter of his elderly poetry teacher. Their bond grows through verses, silences, and unspoken emotions—but misunderstandings and unsaid truths stand in their way. Set across Punjab and old Delhi, the narrative blends romance, culture, and lyrical storytelling.
Directed by Vibhu Puri, the film features Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi in pivotal roles.
