Bengali actor Subhashree Ganguly has returned to Kolkata after being stranded in Dubai for nearly a week amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The actor landed in Kolkata on Friday and briefly spoke to reporters at the airport about the experience.
She had been travelling in Dubai with her son, Yuvaan Chakraborty, when the conflict disrupted regional flight operations.
‘It Was a Very Frightening Situation’
Speaking to reporters in Bengali, Subhashree described the situation as deeply distressing.

The actor also thanked well-wishers for their messages and support during the difficult period.
Husband Raj Chakraborty Had Earlier Confirmed Their Safety
Earlier, filmmaker and politician Raj Chakraborty, Subhashree’s husband and a legislator from the All India Trinamool Congress, had addressed the media about the situation.
He said that Subhashree and their son were safe inside a hotel in Dubai while authorities managed the evolving security situation and flight disruptions.

The travel disruptions followed escalating hostilities after strikes by the United States and Israel targeting sites in Iran.

Amid the tensions, explosions were reported in several Gulf cities including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and parts of Qatar and Kuwait.

Meanwhile, Malayalam actor Swasika also arrived safely in Kochi after being stranded in Abu Dhabi.
