Sreenath Bhasi and Tejalakshmi Team Up for Rejee Prabhakaran’s Priyathaman

Sreenath Bhasi and Tejalakshmi are set to share the screen in Priyathaman, an upcoming Malayalam film directed by Rejee Prabhakaran and scripted by Krishna Poojappura. The project marks another notable addition to both actors’ upcoming lineups, with Tejalakshmi continuing to build her career across Malayalam and Kannada cinema.

The makers of Priyathaman have announced a cast led by Sreenath Bhasi and Tejalakshmi, who is the daughter of actors Urvashi and Manoj K Jayan. The film is directed by Rejee Prabhakaran, while Krishna Poojappura is credited as the writer.

Sunilkumar S and Muneer Arackal are producing the project.

Rejee Prabhakaran returns with his second directorial

Priyathaman marks Rejee Prabhakaran’s second outing as a director. He previously directed Sukhamayirikkatte and has also been associated with the Malayalam film Bharya Onnu Makkal Moonnu, for which he wrote the story.

For his new project, Sanu Bhaskar has written the story, with Krishna Poojappura handling the screenplay.

The technical crew brings together several familiar names from Malayalam cinema. Pradeep Nair is the cinematographer, while Zian Sreekanth is responsible for editing.

Music for the film is being composed by Ramesh Narayan and Bijibal, with Ronnie Raphael providing the background score.

Tejalakshmi has several projects in the pipeline

Priyathaman adds to an increasingly busy slate for Tejalakshmi. The actor is also part of Sundariyayaval Stella, directed by Binu Peter, and Paablo Paarty, helmed by Arathi Gayathri Devi.

Paablo Paarty is particularly noteworthy for bringing Tejalakshmi together with her mother, veteran actor Urvashi.

The mother and daughter are also acting together in the Kannada film Bully. Directed by Anup Antony, the project has been described as a dark comedy.

With projects in both Malayalam and Kannada, Tejalakshmi is gradually expanding her screen presence beyond a single film industry.

Sreenath Bhasi’s upcoming films

Sreenath Bhasi also has several projects lined up alongside Priyathaman.

The actor is set to appear in Orijinal, which has reportedly been conceived as a time-travel film. The project is directed by debutant filmmaker Ramees.

Bhasi is also part of filmmaker Shashidhara KM’s Credit Score, which marks the Kannada filmmaker’s Malayalam debut.

In Tamil cinema, the actor has Vekkai in his upcoming slate, with GV Prakash also attached to the project.

What to expect from Priyathaman

While the makers have announced the principal cast and key members of the crew, further details about the film’s plot, characters and release plans have yet to be revealed.

The combination of Sreenath Bhasi, Tejalakshmi and Rejee Prabhakaran makes Priyathaman a project to watch within the upcoming Malayalam film slate.
