Smriti Mandhana’s First Post After Wedding Postponement Sparks Buzz as Fans Notice Missing Engagement Ring

Smriti Mandhana has finally broken her silence online after her much-awaited wedding with composer Palash Muchhal was postponed. The vice-captain of the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team was set to tie the knot on November 23, 2025, in Sangli. Photos and videos from their mehendi, haldi and sangeet ceremonies had already taken the internet by storm.

However, on the morning of the wedding, Smriti’s father suffered a sudden medical emergency, leading to the ceremony being indefinitely postponed. Since then, speculations about the wedding and the couple’s relationship status have been circulating across social media.

Smriti made her return to the internet with a new video — an advertisement for a toothpaste brand featuring her and Rahul Dravid, where the two discuss oral hygiene. The cricketer appears in a casual and relaxed look, answering questions about cricket and her World Cup dreams.

But soon after the video went live, fans noticed something that sparked instant curiosity — Smriti was not wearing her engagement ring. This single detail triggered a wave of comments and speculation. Some users questioned whether the ad was shot before her engagement, while others wondered about the timing of its release.

On Palash Muchhal’s side, the composer has also remained silent. However, his mother, Amita Muchhal, addressed the rumours and reassured well-wishers that the wedding will indeed take place. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said:
“Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain… Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome. Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi.”

Amid the situation, Palash was recently seen visiting Premanand ji Maharaj, further adding to the public interest surrounding the couple’s current phase.
