Television actress Shubhangi Atre, widely recognized for her roles in popular shows like Chidiya Ghar and Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain!, has shared her perspective on solo living and emotional independence, offering a balanced and reflective take on modern lifestyle choices.
As solo living becomes a growing trend among urban individuals, the actress says she does not personally relate to the idea of living completely alone. Speaking candidly, she emphasized the importance of companionship and emotional support in life.
“I don’t think people are meant to stay completely alone. Having family, friends, or close people around is very important. I prefer being surrounded by my loved ones,” she said.
At the same time, she acknowledged that being alone is not necessarily negative, depending on one’s mindset. According to her, loneliness is often internally driven rather than a result of external circumstances.

Shubhangi also shared a recent personal experience where she chose to stand up alone for what she believed was right. She recalled an incident in her housing society where a democratically made decision was reportedly altered under pressure, prompting her to speak up.
“At first, I was the only one raising my voice. But eventually, others joined in. Now around 55 people are standing together. That means a lot to me,” she shared.
She further spoke about the importance of not being influenced by public judgment. “People will always have opinions. You should not become a football of others’ thoughts. You are living your life, not theirs,” she added.
Distinguishing between isolation and healthy solitude, the actress noted that intentional alone time can be beneficial for reflection and peace, while emotional withdrawal due to frustration can be harmful.

Concluding her thoughts, she highlighted self-awareness as the key to inner peace. “If you want to be alone, be alone with yourself in a meaningful way. That is where real peace begins,” she stated.
