Even after the finale of Lock Upp 2, conversations surrounding the reality show continue to dominate entertainment headlines. The latest comes from actor Shilpa Shinde, who has spoken about her experience inside the house, alleging that she was subjected to age-shaming and work-shaming during the competition.
In a recent media interaction, the actor expressed disappointment that many incidents from inside the house were not included in the televised episodes. She also said she missed the kind of support she had previously experienced from Salman Khan during her time on Bigg Boss.
Shilpa Shinde Says Key Moments Were Not Aired
Reflecting on her journey in Lock Upp 2, Shilpa claimed that viewers did not get to see everything that happened during the reality show.
According to the actor, several interactions involving her and fellow contestant Shivangi Joshi were left out of the broadcast.

“Very frankly, a lot of things were not shown on television, including the way I was spoken to and treated by Shivangi Joshi. Age-shaming and work-shaming. It reminded me of how Salman Khan used to take a stand in such situations, and I felt that was missing here.”
“Reality Shows Should Send the Right Message”
Shilpa also questioned how certain behaviours are perceived in competitive reality shows.
She said only a small portion of the house’s 24-hour footage reaches television audiences, which can sometimes leave viewers without complete context.
According to her, rude behaviour should not be celebrated as strategic gameplay.
She added that such portrayals could influence younger audiences watching reality television.

While discussing the show’s hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, Shilpa clarified that she did not believe there was any intentional bias against her.
However, she felt that the limited edited episodes prevented important incidents from being fully addressed.
She said she particularly missed Salman Khan’s style of addressing conflicts during Bigg Boss, where, in her opinion, contestants were often held accountable for inappropriate behaviour.

She also received the ₹1 crore cash prize.

- Second Runner-up: Yogesh Rawat
Yogesh Rawat also secured ₹10 lakh, which he had earned earlier during a special task in the competition.
