The controversy surrounding the Hindi version of Sarke Chunar has intensified, prompting Telugu folk singer Mangli to issue a public apology after the song was taken down from digital platforms.
Mangli Apologises After Backlash
Responding to criticism over the song’s explicit lyrics, Mangli stated that the track has been removed out of respect for public sentiment. She expressed regret over the situation, clarifying that there was no intention to offend listeners.
“We sincerely apologise for the unintended mistake. It was never meant to hurt anyone’s sentiments, and we truly regret the oversight,” she said in her statement.
She also confirmed that the lyrics have now been revised and an updated version of the song will be released soon.

Amid the backlash, actor Nora Fatehi clarified that she had originally worked on a Kannada version of the song several years ago.
She stated that she was unaware of the Hindi adaptation and its lyrical changes, adding that no approval had been taken from her before its release.
