Saanvie Tallwar Says Fear for Her Career Stopped Her From Taking Legal Action Against Former Co-Star Karan Kundrra

Television actor Saanvie Tallwar has spoken in greater detail about why she chose not to file a legal complaint after alleging that former co-star Karan Kundrra sexually and physically assaulted her during the filming of the television show Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Tallwar said that although many people have questioned her decision over the years, she believed taking legal action at the time could have seriously affected her professional future.

“I Thought My Career Would End”

Explaining her decision, Tallwar said she received support from producer Ektaa Kapoor after the alleged incident, and the production continued.

According to Tallwar, that support, along with concerns about her career, influenced her choice not to approach the police.

She said:

“Many ask why I didn’t file a complaint because Ektaa texted me and met me after the incident. She supported me, and we went back to working on the show. That was why I didn’t file a complaint against him for assaulting me.”

She added that she believed pursuing the matter legally at that stage could have ended her career.

“Professionals aise hote hain, if I would have taken the legal route back then, career khatam ho jata. But maaf nahin kar sakti, kabhi nahin.”

Why She Is Speaking Now

When asked why she decided to revisit the issue years later, Tallwar said she never received the closure she was looking for.

According to her, she wanted to publicly share what she described as her version of events.

She said:

“Baat purani hai, but I haven’t got closure from him ever. Also, I have to come out with the correct version. Mistakes are part of human nature, but you learn from your mistakes before moving on; he hasn’t.”

Earlier Allegations

Tallwar had previously alleged that during the filming of Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, Kundrra kissed her without her consent and slapped her.

She also claimed that producer Ektaa Kapoor intervened after the alleged incident.

According to Tallwar, Kapoor apologized to her on Kundrra’s behalf, invited her for a personal meeting, and assured her that her concerns would be addressed while ensuring the show continued.

Tallwar further alleged that changes were later made to the show’s direction team following the incident.
