Rukmini Vasanth has released a cautionary alert on her social media after discovering that an unknown individual has been impersonating her and contacting people under false identity.
Posting the number publicly, the Kantara Chapter One actor stated that the mobile number being circulated is not hers, and urged fans not to respond to any messages or calls originating from it. She also tagged Bengaluru Police and confirmed that official action is being initiated.

Rukmini wrote that the impersonator is attempting to present themselves as her and is messaging people directly. She further clarified that this matter clearly qualifies under cybercrime.
She urged the public to avoid interacting with such unknown communications, and requested that anyone needing to contact her should do so via her verified channels only.

Bengaluru City Police replied to her post stating:
citizens must not share personal information if contacted by such unknown numbers and should immediately approach the nearest police station for necessary action.
The department reiterated that these types of impersonation attempts are an increasing pattern in cyber fraud cases and public vigilance is crucial.
