Raveena Tandon Opens Up About Mob Incident Outside Her Home

Actor Raveena Tandon has addressed the controversy surrounding the 2024 allegations that accused her and her driver of physically assaulting a woman near her residence.

In a recent interview with ETimes, the actor described the incident as a chaotic and stressful situation involving a large crowd gathered outside her home. She maintained that the accusations were false and stated that CCTV footage later helped establish the sequence of events.

According to Raveena, police officials informed her that the incident appeared to be part of an attempted extortion effort aimed at creating public disruption.

“Luckily, we had the CCTV cameras, where immediately the truth came out,” the actor said while discussing the matter. She also spoke about how edited clips and social media posts intensified the situation online.

Raveena explained that the incident escalated when a group of people entered the premises of her residence while her children were inside the house. She said her husband was away at work during the incident.

The actor stated that her driver had been wrongly accused despite there being no physical contact involving the vehicle and nearby women. According to her account, tensions increased after her driver attempted to stop people from recording videos near the house.

Raveena said she stepped outside to personally speak with the women involved because she feared her driver could face false accusations. However, she alleged that the crowd quickly became aggressive.

Describing the situation, the actor claimed that around 30 men gathered outside the residence, creating panic among staff members and security personnel. She further recalled that an unidentified man entered the house during the chaos.

“I’ve actually caught him by his shirt and thrown him out,” Raveena said while recounting the incident.

The actor also said that members of the crowd allegedly assaulted security staff during the confrontation before the situation was eventually brought under control.

The incident had generated significant attention online in 2024 before CCTV footage and police statements became part of the wider discussion.
