Rashmika Mandanna–Vijay Deverakonda’s Wedding Gift to Fans? Scholarships for Students in Achampet

Newlyweds Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have marked the beginning of their married life with a philanthropic initiative in Telangana.

During a recent visit to Thummanpet, Vijay’s hometown in the Achampet division of Nagarkurnool district, the couple announced a scholarship programme aimed at supporting underprivileged students.

Education Initiative for 44 Government Schools

The scholarships will benefit Class 9 and 10 students from 44 government schools in the region. The initiative is being implemented through the Deverakonda Charitable Trust.

The primary objective is to assist financially struggling students and encourage them to continue their education, particularly as they prepare for crucial board examinations.

Addressing villagers in Telugu, Vijay personally explained the structure of the scholarship programme and reaffirmed his commitment to the community. The announcement was met with applause from local residents and family members, including his mother, Madhavi, who appeared visibly emotional during the event.

Actor Anand Deverakonda and Rashmika stood alongside Vijay during the announcement, reinforcing the family’s collective support for the initiative.

Rituals in Hometown

As part of their post-wedding visit, the couple also performed the traditional Sathyanarayan Vratam puja at their new residence in Thummanpet. Vijay assured villagers that he would continue visiting regularly and contribute to the development of the area alongside his family.

Wedding and Upcoming Reception

Rashmika and Vijay tied the knot on February 26 at ITC Mementos Udaipur in the presence of close friends and family. The couple is set to host an invitation-only reception in Hyderabad on March 4 for members of the film industry, political leaders and business associates.

On the Professional Front

The duo will soon share screen space again in Ranabaali, scheduled for release in September. The project marks their third collaboration after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.
