Rashmika Mandanna is set to portray legendary Carnatic vocalist and Bharat Ratna awardee MS Subbulakshmi in an ambitious pan-India biopic directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
After days of speculation surrounding the casting of the much-awaited MS Subbulakshmi biopic, the makers have officially confirmed that Rashmika Mandanna will play the legendary singer on screen.
The ambitious project will be jointly produced by Allu Aravind, Rockline Venkatesh and Bunny Vas and is being mounted as a major pan-India production. The film will chronicle the remarkable journey of MS Subbulakshmi, whose voice and contribution to Indian classical music earned her recognition far beyond the country.
