Rashmika Mandanna Calls Brother-in-Law Anand Deverakonda a ‘Green Forest’: ‘I Will Stand in Support’

Rashmika Mandanna had plenty of praise for her brother-in-law Anand Deverakonda at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Epic – First Semester. While talking about Anand’s career and the choices he has been making, Rashmika was asked whether she considered him a green flag or a red flag.

Her answer was far more enthusiastic than either option.

The actor described Anand as a “green forest” and said she would continue to support him in whatever he chooses to pursue.

The exchange offered a glimpse into the warm equation shared by the Deverakonda family members, with Anand also speaking about how Rashmika has supported and encouraged him.

During the Epic – First Semester trailer launch, Rashmika was asked to describe Anand Deverakonda as either a green or red flag.

She did not hesitate.

“He’s a green forest, I don’t even have to think about it,” Rashmika said.

The Girlfriend actor went on to praise Anand for the way he has been handling his career, adding that he appears to be doing well without needing her advice.

“I think he’s doing really well without my advice. I will stand in support of whatever he wants in life,” she said.

Her comments reflected the supportive relationship the two share as members of the same family.

Rather than positioning herself as someone who needs to guide Anand’s career, Rashmika emphasised that she would simply be there to support his choices.

Anand Deverakonda Has a Sweet Response for Rashmika

Anand also spoke about Rashmika during the event, recalling how audiences had begun calling her “vadinamma” during the promotions of his film Baby.

The Telugu term is commonly used to refer to a brother’s wife or sister-in-law, and the nickname had become part of the audience’s interactions with Rashmika during that period.

Reflecting on the moment, Anand said he could not respond much when audiences were shouting “vadinamma” during the Baby promotions.

This time, however, he embraced the term with pride while gesturing towards Rashmika.

“I couldn’t say anything when the audience kept screaming ‘vadinamma’ back then during Baby release. Today, with full pride, vadinamma,” Anand said.

The exchange was met with enthusiasm from the audience.

‘She Comes to Me and Asks, Are You Okay?’

Anand also spoke about the personal support he receives from Rashmika.

He described himself as someone who does not talk much, even at home, and said Rashmika often checks on him.

“I’m not one to talk much, even at home. She comes to me and asks, are you okay? Is everything okay?” he said.

The actor further recalled an interaction that took place while he was travelling for promotional activities.

Anand said he had been visiting colleges in Guntur, Vizag and Rajahmundry as part of the promotions for Epic – First Semester.

At one point, Rashmika watched one of his interviews and messaged him afterwards.

According to Anand, she told him that he was doing well and that she was proud of him.

The anecdote offered a more personal glimpse into their relationship away from the spotlight and promotional stage.

Rashmika’s appearance at the event also became a talking point among fans because the audience repeatedly interrupted her with chants of “Ranabaali” and “Vijay Deverakonda.”

Rashmika also shared an update about Ranabaali while responding to the chants.

She revealed that she had recently been shooting a song with Vijay Deverakonda.

“Vijay is at the gym, and I’m feeling jealous. I came here after shooting with him for the Ranabaali song ‘Endhayya Saami’,” she said.
