Raashii Khanna on Her Style Philosophy: “I Want My Fashion to Represent Who I Am”

Raashii Khanna has steadily built a strong presence in both the South film industry and Hindi cinema. With projects such as Farzi, The Sabarmati Report, Yodha, and 120 Bahadur, the actor has expanded her footprint across languages. Beyond her performances, her fashion choices have also drawn attention.

Speaking about how her style has evolved over the years, Raashii describes fashion as deeply personal.

“Fashion is an extension of who you are. In your 20s, you’re still discovering yourself, and your style is often influenced by others. Over time, I found my own voice through fashion. For me, comfort matters more than any trend. I want my fashion to reflect who I am,” she shared.

The actor emphasised that she does not follow trends blindly. Instead, her wardrobe decisions are guided by instinct and authenticity.

“I never chase trends. Honestly, I don’t even know what’s trending at the moment. I go with what feels right. If I’m not comfortable and confident in what I’m wearing, there’s no reason to experiment. My style leans toward elegance rather than trying something drastically different. I prefer to stay true to myself,” she added.

Having worked extensively in both South Indian and Hindi film industries, Raashii also observed a noticeable difference in fashion sensibilities between the two regions.

“In the South, fashion tends to be simpler and rooted in understated luxury. There isn’t too much experimentation. In the North, you see a wider range of experimentation, with designers trying international and bold concepts. That kind of approach is less common in the South,” she noted.

When asked about her preference between traditional and contemporary fashion, Raashii offered a clear distinction.

“I usually separate traditional and Western wear. I don’t mind mixing elements occasionally, but I believe if it’s Indian, it should stay traditional. And if it’s modern, then it should fully embrace that aesthetic. I don’t necessarily blend the two,” she explained.

With a growing portfolio across industries and a defined personal aesthetic, Raashii Khanna continues to position herself as both a versatile performer and a style voice rooted in authenticity.
