Actor Priyanka Chopra has been announced as one of the presenters at the upcoming 98th Academy Awards, adding another milestone to her international career. The Academy revealed on Thursday that she will join a star-studded group of presenters that includes Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Priyanka also shared the update with fans on Instagram, posting about her return to the prestigious awards stage. This will not be her first time presenting at the Oscars; she previously appeared as a presenter during the 2016 ceremony.
Over the years, Priyanka has become a familiar face at major global award events. Apart from the Academy Awards, she has also served as a presenter at the Golden Globe Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
Another Indian star who has previously presented at the Oscars is Deepika Padukone, who appeared at the 2023 ceremony when the film RRR won the Best Original Song award for Naatu Naatu.

The Academy also confirmed additional presenters for this year’s ceremony. The list includes Will Arnett, Paul Mescal and several previously announced stars such as Adrien Brody, Javier Bardem, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Demi Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph and Zoe Saldaña.
Meanwhile, director Ryan Coogler’s film Sinners has created history this year by becoming the most-nominated film in Academy Awards history. The movie has secured 16 nominations, surpassing the previous record held by films such as All About Eve, Titanic and La La Land, each of which received 14 nominations.
Other notable films competing for major awards include Hamnet, Sentimental Value, One Battle After Another and Frankenstein.
When and where the Oscars 2026 will take place
The 98th Academy Awards ceremony will be held on March 15, 2026, at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, located at Ovation Hollywood.
