Singer Prakriti Kakar tied the knot with entrepreneur Vinay Anand on January 23, 2026, at the historic Fort Barwara near Jaipur, Rajasthan. Describing the new phase of life as “exciting,” Prakriti shared how her intimate wedding was a dream come true.
“I don’t think much has changed. Of course, there are added responsibilities, but I think it’s going to be such a beautiful, fun phase… The wedding was nothing less than living a dream,” she said.
Celebrations Across Cities
Following the ceremony in Jaipur, the couple hosted a reception in Mumbai for friends, family, and industry colleagues, with another celebration held earlier in Delhi.
“Last night we had our wedding reception in Mumbai, where I got to be the bride in red. I had reserved red for the reception consciously. I’m a Mrs now, a newly married wifey, and the feeling is slowly sinking in,” Prakriti said.
For the wedding itself, she chose pink instead of the traditional red, staying true to her personal style.
“Pink is my favourite colour. I wanted to be true to myself. Even my followers have loved my bridal look. It feels wholesome seeing that I got to live it the way I wanted,” she added.

A wedding highlight for the Kakar family was the joota chupai ceremony, led by Prakriti’s sisters, singers Sukriti and Akriti Kakar.
“Both of them were so persistent. I don’t think any wedding is complete without the joota chupai. My sisters successfully got everything that they were asking for from Vinay. They bargained hard,” she laughed.
Honeymoon Plans on Hold
Despite the post-wedding excitement, the newlyweds have professional commitments in the coming months, so their full honeymoon will be delayed.
“We do plan on going for a short mini-moon around February to the UAE. But the proper, long honeymoon will happen later in May,” Prakriti revealed.
