Nusraat Faria Takes on a Powerful Role in ‘Tribunal’

Nusraat Faria is returning to the big screen with ‘Tribunal’, a film that sees the Bangladeshi actor take on a more emotionally layered and introspective role.

After a brief break from cinema, Faria is stepping into a character defined by her determination to stand up for justice and truth. The role represents a different side of the performer, who has built a career across Bangladeshi and Indian cinema as well as television and music.

Faria Drawn to the Character’s Strength

Faria said the strength and emotional responsibility carried by her character were major reasons she decided to take on Tribunal.

“What drew me in was her strength,” Faria said. “The responsibility and emotional depth she carries really resonated with me. It’s not often that an actor gets to play such a layered, powerful woman.”

The actor considers the part among the more emotionally demanding roles she has taken on, particularly because the character’s journey is closely connected to questions of conviction and personal courage.

Rather than relying solely on a conventional commercial performance, Faria appears to be using the project as an opportunity to explore a more mature dimension of her acting.

Nusraat Faria Is Becoming More Selective

The central themes of Tribunal appear to have been another major factor behind Faria’s decision to join the film.

She said the story’s message connects with values she considers important beyond the screen, particularly courage, truth and resilience.

“The film’s message struck a chord with me,” Faria said. “It’s about courage, truth and resilience; qualities I deeply value in real life.”

That connection has given the project a personal dimension for the actor. The role is not simply an opportunity to return to cinema but also a chance to work on a story that aligns with the kind of material she increasingly wants to explore.

Faria Keeps the Door Open to Indian Cinema

Although Faria’s recent work has largely been associated with Bangladesh, she has not ruled out returning to the Indian film industry.
