Netflix has officially unveiled its 2026 content slate, featuring a mix of high-profile films and series across multiple languages. One of the biggest highlights is the reunion of Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, nearly 28 years after their iconic collaboration in Border.
The two actors will be seen together in the upcoming Netflix legal drama Ikka. Sunny Deol plays a principled and steadfast lawyer, a role that recalls his memorable performance in Damini (1993). Akshaye Khanna steps into the role of the primary antagonist. Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, the series also stars Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, and Heeramandi actor Sanjeeda Sheikh in pivotal roles.
Netflix also released the first-look teaser of the period drama Hum Hindustani, starring Saif Ali Khan and Pratik Gandhi. The series marks the Hindi debut of Mimi Chakraborty and traces the story of India’s first general election held in the early 1950s.
Another major announcement includes Taapsee Pannu-starrer Gandhari, directed by Devashish Makhija. Written and produced by Kanika Dhillon under the Kathha Pictures banner, the film explores the fierce transformation of a mother driven by rage. Ishwak Singh also plays a key role in the film.

In regional content, R. Madhavan headlines Legacy, a gritty Tamil-language crime series centred on an ageing mafia leader searching for a worthy successor. The series also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Gulshan Devaiah, and Gautham Karthik, and will stream in multiple Indian languages.
Netflix’s 2026 line-up further includes titles such as Super Subbu, Hello Bacchon, Musafir Cafe, Made in Korea, #Love, Takshakudu, Ghooskhor Pandat, and Chumbak, reflecting the platform’s continued focus on diverse storytelling across genres and regions.
